Nautilus is a long-established swingers club in Milan, in the east of the city, outside the ZTL (restricted traffic zone). It covers about 800 square metres and is known for its decor, which recalls the inside of a submarine. It is visited by couples, single men and a large trans community.
The heart of the venue is the disco area, surrounded by velvet sofas, with DJ sets every night and a large bar whose bartenders make much-praised cocktails. During the nights there is a sweet and savoury buffet, and there are areas set aside for play.
Reviews speak of a clean, well-organised venue, with welcoming owners and staff and prices considered affordable. Friday is a favourite night, with lots of Eighties and Nineties music, and the club also hosts long-running events of the Milan BDSM scene and parties such as the Christmas one.
